Stage 1: Measurements and Design
Before buying anything, take accurate measurements of the space. Consider the location of drainage pipes, ventilation and windows. Create a layout plan for plumbing fixtures — this will help avoid unnecessary rework.
Stage 2: Choosing Materials
For the bathroom it's important to choose moisture-resistant materials. Tiles, wall waterproofing, moisture-resistant drywall — all of this protects structures from mould and deterioration. Don't skimp on waterproofing — it's the foundation of a long-lasting renovation.
Stage 3: Order of Work
The correct order of work: demolition → rough work (plumbing, electrical) → wall levelling → waterproofing → tiling → plumbing installation → finishing. Don't rush — each stage requires drying time.
